Vegetables
- For the management of root-knot nematode in vegetables like tomato, brinjal and chilli, nursery should be covered with polythene sheet for 15 days during May/June after giving light irrigation. At the time of sowing, apply carbofuran 3G @ 10 g/m2 in the nursery prior to sowing. Also before transplanting apply neem cake @ 500 kg/ha in the main field.
- Adopt okra-cauliflower-cluster bean based cropping sequence to manage root-knot nematode and to take more yield in vegetables.
- Sowing of non-host crop (cauliflower) in kharif and disease resistant variety Hisar Lalit in rabi in fields infested with root-knot nematode.
- Application of neem cake at 10 g/pit 10 days before sowing in bottlegourd.
Pulses
- To manage root knot nematode in mungbean, sow carbosulfan 25 DS @ 3% treated seed in deep summer ploughed field.
- To manage reniform nematode in cowpea, sow carbosulfan 25 DS @ 3% treated seed in deep summer ploughed field.
- To control root-knot nematode in blackgram, soil treatment with Trichoderma harzianum @ 10 kg per ha and seed treatment with carbosulfan 25 DS @ 3% is effective.
- To control root-knot nematode in mungbean, apply neem cake @ 100 kg/ha and Trichoderma viride @ 2.5 kg/ha.
- For integrated control of reniform nematode in gram, seed treatment with 5 g/kg seed each of Trichoderma viride, Pseudomonas fluorensens or 10 g neem seed kernel powder.
- Management of reniform nematode in cowpea by seed treatment with 10 g/kg neem seed kernel powder.
- To manage root-knot nematode in mungbean, apply neem cake@ 100 kg/ha along with Trichoderma viride @ 2.5 kg/ha at the time of sowing in soil.
- To manage pigeonpea cyst nematode, apply T. harzianum @ 2.5 kg/ha along with Pochonia chlamydosporia @ 10 kg/ha at the time of sowing in soil.
Oilseeds
- In castor for the management of reniform nematode apply Purpuerocillium lilacinum @ 2.5 kg/ha at the time of sowing in soil.
- In soybean for the management of reniform nematode apply Purpuerocillium lilacinum @ 2.5 kg/ha at the time of sowing in soil.
