Development of varieties and hybrids

The AICRP (VC) has made strides in development and production of vegetables in a very short span of time. In four decades project has developed 461 varieties in 24 vegetables crops, which have been identified for cultivation in different climatic zones. Among these, 273 are high yielding open pollinated, 141 are hybrids and 47 are resistant to diseases.
