• Evaluation of germplasm for agro-economic traits and resistance to wilt, Botrytis, leaf hopper and capsule borer in castor.
• Development of castor hybrids suitable for different agro-climatic situations and resistant to wilt complex.
• Refinement of integrated nutrient management packages with higher input use efficiency for sustainable production of castor based cropping systems and refinement and validation of cultural practices based on climatic changes.
• Development of bio-intensive integrated pest management strategies for wilt, Botrytis and capsule borer in castor
• Production of breeder seed of latest released varieties and hybrids and conduction of FLD in the farmers field.
